We are thrilled to report we received this letter signed by the Secretary of the Interior approving transfer of the lighthouse to our organization. Click here to view image. We purchased a 25' boat last week in order to make trips to the lighthouse and now have it slipped near North Point.

We received a phone call on 4/19/05 from the National Park Service saying we are in line to receive transfer of the CCLRFLS! A small public transfer ceremony will most likely take place at North Point State Park in Baltimore County, Maryland where the Secretary of the Interior, Hon. Gale Norton, will sign the transfer document. We are just awaiting confirmation of the date when everyone ...

| Status of Craighill Channel Lower Range |

Whew! We managed to get the application for the Craighill Channel Lower Range Front Light Station (see album) completed, printed, bound, and shipped to the National Park Service on Friday, August 1st just making it by the deadline as well as hours before four board members were heading off on vacation. We need volunteers in the following areas to contribute their time, labor, and skills as we build up a strong volunteer foundation in order to support and lovingly preserve the structures we acquire:
* Construction - including woodwork, electrical, plumbing
* Roofing
* Painting
* Windows
* Printing/Binding
* Membership Drives
